Successful completion of Focused Knowledge Course on “Modern Composite Materials and Manufacturing” at NIT Jalandhar

Jalandhar- The Gyan (Global Initiative of Academic Networks) course organized on the topic "Modern Composite Materials, and Manufacturing" at National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jalandhar concluded successfully today. The course ran from 11 December to 16 December 2024, in which participants from different parts of the country participated.

The course ran from 11 December to 16 December 2024, in which participants from different parts of the country participated.
The objective of the program was to share knowledge on advanced composite materials and their modern manufacturing techniques and to promote sustainable and efficient manufacturing processes. Experts from India and abroad shared their experiences in this course. The keynote speaker of the course was Professor Chong Doo Cho, Professor of Mechanical Engineering Department, Inha University, South Korea. In his lecture, he discussed in depth the advanced technologies of composite materials and their industrial applications.
The program was organized by the Department of Industrial and Production Engineering. The course coordinators Dr. Narendra Kumar and Prof. Anish Sachdeva conducted it successfully.
Director of NIT Jalandhar, Prof. B.K. Dr. Kannaujiya, in the closing ceremony said, "Gyan Programme is a great initiative of the Ministry of Education, which is playing a vital role in connecting international expertise with Indian academic institutions. This course has proved to be an excellent opportunity for the participants to enhance their knowledge and skills."
Dr. Ajay Bansal, Registrar, said, "NIT Jalandhar has promoted high-level education and research by organizing a total of six Gyan Programmes this year. Such programmes not only enhance knowledge but also strengthen the global identity of our institute."
Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Head of the Department, in his address said, "This programme introduced the participants to the latest techniques of composite materials and manufacturing. This will promote collaboration between industry and academia."
Experienced faculty members like Dr. Bikash Kumar, Dr. Aviral Mishra, Dr. Sheetal Soda, Dr. Junjar Kamble and Dr. Mukesh Bajya also contributed significantly to the success of this course. They played their role in planning the programme, designing the sessions and providing quality content to the participants. Their collective participation made the event highly enriched from academic and practical point of view.
During the event participants deliberated upon the latest trends and challenges in research and development of advanced materials. Certificates were distributed to all the participants at the conclusion of the event.
Gyan Course is a flagship initiative of the Ministry of Education, Government of India, aimed at imparting international level education and training to students and researchers. Participants and experts appreciated the efforts of NIT Jalandhar and emphasized the need to organize such high level events in future as well.
