Una, December 3: The quarterly meeting of the District Sainik Welfare Board was held in his office on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal. Apart from members of Ex-Servicemen League Una and Daulatpur, representatives of various departments were present in this meeting. Various issues related to the service and facilities of ex-servicemen and their dependents were discussed in detail in the meeting. During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner reiterated his commitment towards the welfare of ex-servicemen and gave guidelines for continuous improvement in their service. He approved an amount of Rs 3 lakh for the community building under construction in Brahmapur, so that better facilities can be provided to the soldiers and their families. Apart from this, he instructed the officers of all the concerned departments to be compulsorily present in the upcoming meeting. In the meeting, Deputy Director of District Sainik Welfare Department, Lt. Colonel (Retd.) S K Kalia welcomed everyone and conducted the proceedings of the meeting. After the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner visited ECHS (Ex-Servicemen Health Scheme), where he got detailed information about the available facilities of the scheme. OIC ECHS, Col Sushil Kumar apprised the Deputy Commissioner about various aspects of the scheme. The Deputy Commissioner also inspected the Dental Wing of ECHS and sanctioned additional funds for Dental Chair.
