Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar 30 December, 2024: To celebrate the 15th National Voters' Day and to instill new enthusiasm among the voters and strengthen democratic traditions, a district level online quiz competition will be organized on 19 January, 2025 under the leadership of District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner, Ashika Jain under the able guidance of Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab, the winners of which will participate in the state level competition to be held in Ludhiana on 24 January.
In this regard, District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar Ashika Jain informed that the objective of this quiz competition is to strengthen democratic traditions among the voters, increase the participation of youth in the electoral process and make everyone aware about the electoral process.
District Nodal Officer Sweep-cum-Officer Incharge Civil Engineering Government Polytechnic College Khuni Majra Prof. Gurbakshish Singh Antal said that in this regard, voters can register online on the link of Chief Electoral Officer Punjab https://punjab.indiastatquiz.com/NewRegister.aspx from 18 December 2024 to 17 January 2025. District level online quiz competition will be held on 19 January and the winners of 23 districts will participate in the offline quiz competition in Ludhiana on 24 January.
The winners of the state level quiz competition will be honored by the Chief Electoral Officer Punjab and the first three contestants will be honored with laptop, tablet and smart watch respectively. Election Tehsildar Sanjay Kumar said that in this regard, awareness campaign is being run with the cooperation of all the educational institutions, youth clubs and NGOs of the district.
