
Local Government Department will leave no stone unturned for the development of Hoshiarpur - Dr. Ravjot Singh
Hoshiarpur: Punjab Local Government and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh today dedicated a super sucker machine worth Rs. 1.76 crore to the Municipal Corporation at the Municipal Corporation Hoshiarpur and flagged it off. He said that the Local Government Department will leave no stone unturned for the all-round development of Hoshiarpur.
Hoshiarpur: Punjab Local Government and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh today dedicated a super sucker machine worth Rs. 1.76 crore to the Municipal Corporation at the Municipal Corporation Hoshiarpur and flagged it off. He said that the Local Government Department will leave no stone unturned for the all-round development of Hoshiarpur.
Addressing a function organized at the Municipal Corporation Hoshiarpur complex, the Cabinet Minister while flagging off the super sucker machine said that this machine has been provided for Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr and Kapurthala cities, wherever this machine is needed, it will be sent there. He said that this machine is accompanied by 2 tanks and 9 skilled workers who will operate this machine.
He said that the Local Government Department will make every possible effort so that the people do not have to face any problem related to the department.
Meanwhile, the Cabinet Minister, while addressing the demand of the employee organizations, said that the demand for regularization of the casual employees like sanitation workers, firemen and other employees posted in the department will be seriously considered. He said that he will personally talk to Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on this subject and a meaningful solution will be found for it.
Apart from this, a decision will also be taken soon on other issues. He assured that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann will live up to the expectations of the people. He appealed to the city residents and said that making the city clean is the responsibility of all of us and the department can move forward in this direction only with the cooperation of the people.
Lok Sabha member Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal said that he hopes that the casual employees working in the Local Government Department will be made permanent soon. He said that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has given jobs to 50 thousand youth so far and more jobs are also being given in the coming time. He said that the sanitation workers are working day and night to keep the city clean and all their demands will be resolved on priority basis.
MLA Brahm Shankar Jimpa stressed on taking more positive steps towards making Hoshiarpur city dump free. He also asked the Local Government Minister to take immediate action on the demand of making the sewermen and firemen employees permanent. Mayor Surinder Kumar, while informing the Local Government Minister about the Municipal Corporation Hoshiarpur, demanded development works worth about Rs 40 crore for the Municipal Corporation, which the Local Government Minister accepted and asked to take necessary steps immediately.
Earlier, Cabinet Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh handed over appointment letters to 7 medical officers, 3 pharmacists, 4 clinic assistants appointed for the Aam Aadmi Clinic, besides 2 councilors, 1 staff nurse and 2 ward attendants for the District De-Addiction and Rehabilitation Society.
