Giving this information on behalf of the organizations, Textile-Hosiery Workers Union President Jagdish said that on the occasion of Human Rights Day; it has been decided to organize a program by various pro-people public organizations of Punjab against the achievement of human and democratic rights and the attacks on them. As a part of this, a joint protest meeting will be held in Ludhiana by Textile-Hosiery Workers Union, Factory Workers Union and Naujawan Bharat Sabha.
He said that the government has recently implemented new criminal laws in the name of changing the criminal laws made during the British rule. Although the nature of the old criminal laws was also anti-people and oppressive, but now after the changes made, these laws have become even more oppressive. Similarly, the four new labor codes brought by amending the old labor laws have been made a means of cutting the meager rights of the laborers even more ruthlessly.
There is a need to strongly oppose these anti-people decisions of the government. And raise your voice for your rights on the occasion of Human Rights Day. They have appealed to all the laborers, workers and other justice-loving people to join this protest meeting.
