Una, December 4: The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team visited Creamica Food Park Limited Singha on Wednesday and held a meeting with local management officials. During this, the NDRF team also inspected the factory's production processes, structural features, safety measures and emergency management systems.

During this, the NDRF team also inspected the factory's production processes, structural features, safety measures and emergency management systems. 
The team also interacted with the factory management and employees and evaluated their preparedness and safety awareness. This information was given by Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal. He said that its main objective was to gather information about the factory's potential vulnerabilities and hazard profile, which could be important in case of a disaster.
He said that apart from this, the NDRF team also collected information related to the sudden flood in Bathu-Bathdi Industrial Area last Tuesday in this monsoon season. The flood caused extensive damage to important infrastructure including roads, bridges, power lines, water supply scheme, road, bridge, residential houses, shops, petrol pumps, agricultural land, industrial units etc. Waterlogging in the affected area as well as other public essential services were disrupted. The main objective of this visit was to collect information about the sensitivity of the area so that effective prevention and mitigation measures can be taken in future. 
The team studied the geographical, social and environmental aspects of the area and assessed the potential threats. They also understood their problems and experiences by communicating with the local administration. He said that based on the information received, the NDRF will be ready to implement better preparations and disaster management plans as per the need in the coming time.
Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal said that the 14th battalion of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team is on a visit to the district till December 14. During this time, the team will organize community exercises at various places in the district to make people aware about rescue and relief work from natural and man-made disasters.
