Chief Minister's Yogashala is providing people with a healthy lifestyle - SDM Damandeep Kaur

S.A.S.Nagar, November 25, 2024: CM's Yogashala, being run by the Chief Minister, Punjab with the aim of providing a healthy lifestyle to the people of Punjab, is receiving a huge response in villages and cities. SDM Mohali, Damandeep Kaur informed that people are getting relief from chronic diseases through yoga practice.

S.A.S.Nagar, November 25, 2024: CM's Yogashala, being run by the Chief Minister, Punjab with the aim of providing a healthy lifestyle to the people of Punjab, is receiving a huge response in villages and cities. SDM Mohali, Damandeep Kaur informed that people are getting relief from chronic diseases through yoga practice.
She informed that the number of participants in the daily session (yoga class) is increasing and six yoga sessions are conducted daily by Yoga Trainer Alisha Kundal.
Giving more information, Yoga Trainer Alisha Kundal said that she starts her first class at Sector 65 (Park No. 19), Mohali from 6 am to 7 am. The second class is held at Aerocity F Block, Mohali from 7.15 am to 8.15 am. The third class is held at Law Parsiyan Ambika, Sector-66-B, Mohali from 8.20 am to 9.20 am and the fourth class is held at Commando Complex, Sector 65, Mohali from 2.55 pm to 3.55 pm and the fifth class is held at Sports Complex, Sector 65, Mohali from 4 pm to 5 pm. The sixth class is held at Laxmi Narayan Mandir, Sector 65, Mohali from 5.05 pm to 6.05 pm, people of all sections are taking full advantage of these yoga classes.
Alisha said that there must be at least 25 people in each session and coaches are present to make the participants participate in yoga sessions and explain the importance of yoga, who have been given a target of conducting five or six sessions (yoga classes) per coach daily.
Yoga trainer Alisha Kundal also said that the number of elderly people, women and children in her yoga classes is increasing. The elderly say that with yoga practice they feel refreshed throughout the day and yoga not only keeps them healthy but also gives them mental satisfaction. Apart from this, She also informed that children are taught about healthy living through games and yoga asanas in school, due to which the tendency of children towards yoga is increasing. The timings of yoga sessions are morning and evening, so it depends on the participants to join the session as per their convenience.
He said that working women as well as housewives have become aware of healthy and well-being through yoga asanas. Women regularly attend sessions to keep themselves healthy. He said that many people have got rid of various diseases through yoga. He said that people who are yet to join can register for these sessions by contacting the website cmdiyogshala.punjab.gov.in as well as the helpline number 76694-00500. Any area with at least 25 participants can call/send a message on the WhatsApp number to start their new class/session. No charge is taken for yoga classes.
