SAS Nagar, November 08, 2024: A meeting was held at District Administrative Complex regarding important issues of Mohali city under the chairmanship of Kulwant Singh, Constituency MLA, SAS Nagar in the presence of Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain, SSP Deepak Parikh.
 In the meeting, arrangement of accommodation for district administration officials, location for district police line, conversion of existing habitat center to circuit house, CCTV camera projects in the city, parking problem, digital advertisement, convention center, bus stand were discussed. issue of old age home, working women hostel, issue of standing water under railway under bridge during rainy days, inclusion of urban area developed outside the municipal corporation limits in the municipal corporation limits, multi level at IT City Discussions were held on the issues of creating parking lot.
Regarding the arrangement of accommodation for the officers of the district administration, the Deputy Commissioner said that for this purpose, flats are being given in East Premium Apartment at Sector 88. For this, 56 crore rupees have been sanctioned by the government. Regarding the place for the police line, DTP Gamada was instructed to identify such a place for this purpose, through which its facilities can be easily made available in the entire district. Regarding CCTV cameras, it was decided that the project should be taken forward to install cameras at maximum number of places and action should be taken for necessary funds.
To solve the problem of parking, the District Traffic Police was instructed that the municipal corporation SAS Nagar should arrange tow vehicles to challan the vehicles parked on the roads and footpaths and to take away the wrongly parked vehicles; And giving the work of carrying vehicles to a private company and for what purpose the parking spaces designated as per the building plan are being used by private companies, commercial malls, hospitals etc.; A committee should be formed with the participation of Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Mohali, SP Traffic, ACA Gamada and Road Traffic Safety Expert Mr. Navdeep Asija to conduct a survey to find out.
Regarding the convention center, DTP Gamada said that 6 acres of land has been earmarked for this work at IT City near the airport; And the services of a consultant are being engaged to take this project forward. Regarding the bus stand, the Constituency MLA told the officials present in the meeting that efforts should be made to start the bus stand built at Phase-6.
Apart from this, he asked that the existing Habitat Center should be shifted to the Circuit House by Gamada. Apart from this, guidelines were given to the officials present in the meeting regarding the rest of the issues that action should be taken to implement/solve them.
