Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, October 29: The Additional District Election Officer, SAS Nagar held a meeting with all the recognized political parties of the district regarding the special revision of voter lists on the basis of eligibility date 01.01.2025. He said that according to the instructions of the Election Commission of India, the preliminary publication of the draft voter lists has been done today on 29/10/2024 by the concerned booth level officers, voter registration officers at prominent places. In this regard, 1 copy each of the draft photo voter lists and one CD without photo have been supplied to the representatives of the recognized political parties of the district.
 He informed that the program for special correction of voter lists on the basis of eligibility date 01.01.2025 is starting from 29.10.2024. Claims and objections will be received from 29.10.2024 to 28.11.2024.
Dated 09.10.2024 (Saturday) and 10.10.24 (Sunday) and 23.11.2024 (Saturday) and 24.11.2024 for receipt of claims and objections by Booth Level Officers (BLOs) as per instructions of Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab, Chandigarh. (Sunday) Special camps will be organized at polling stations from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. These special camps will be held on both days at each polling station. Citizens will receive claims and objections (Form No. 6, 7 and 8) from the voters in the BLOs polling station during the special camp.
Mr. John Verma, Congress Party, Mr. Satnam Singh, Shiromani Akali Dal, Mr. Bahadur Singh Chahal, Aam Aadmi Party, Mr. Mohinder Singh, Bharatiya Janata Party, Mr. Sukhdev Singh, Bahujan Samaj Party, Mr. Gurwinder Singh, Shiromani Akali Dal were present in the meeting.
