3 month saturation campaign for financial inclusion schemes in Punjab state starts from July 1.

Giving this information, Deputy General Manager of Punjab National Bank and Deputy Convener of State Level Bankers Committee, Punjab, Mr. Ramkishore Meena said that under this special campaign, special camps will be organized in every Gram Panchayat of Punjab State. On this subject, necessary guidelines have been given to all the banks and district collectors in a special meeting of the State Level Bankers Committee, Punjab under the chairmanship of Mr. Krishna Kumar, Principal Secretary Finance on 24 June 2025.
During the camp in the Gram Panchayats, branch managers of nearby banks and officers of various government departments will be present. In this campaign, information is being given on the following topics and applications are being received on the spot from the deprived beneficiaries. He told that to start the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan accounts, KYC documents have to be obtained in inactive accounts.
It has to be ensured that accounts of adults who do not have a bank account yet are opened in Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana. Registration will be done in Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and eligible persons will be registered in Atal Pension Yojana. Information will be provided about ways to avoid digital fraud, non-claim amount, how to get deposits older than 10 years. KYC will be done again in Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan accounts opened from 2014 to 2016 and information will be given about the process of grievance redressal for this. Apart from this, he informed that for smooth implementation of this special campaign, dates for organizing camps in all the Gram Panchayats have been fixed by the District Collector and Leading District Manager.
Shri Ramkishore Meena said that during each upcoming camp, bank officials will be present and along with giving various information, KYC documents will also be obtained on the spot in public security schemes and inactive accounts. Measures to be cautious and avoid fraud in financial transactions will also be discussed in detail.
Shri RK Meena informed that in the state of Punjab, Punjab National Bank is working as the coordinator of the State Level Bankers Committee, Punjab and the work of reaching all the government schemes to the common people is being done by 7551 bank branches working in the state. Banking facilities are also being provided by 7517 ATMs and 6616 BCs in the state.
The general public is also regularly informed about various schemes through 36 financial awareness centers in the state. For more information, anyone can contact their nearest branch. He informed that 2833 camps have been organized from 1st July to 15th July.
Punjab National Bank's Deputy General Manager Mr. Pankaj Anand informed that under Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, by paying an annual premium of Rs. 20, accident insurance up to Rs. 2 lakh is available for the age group of 18 to 70 years and under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima, by paying an annual premium of Rs. 436, death insurance up to Rs. 2 lakh is available for the age group of 18 to 50 years. He informed that under Atal Pension Yojana, there is a provision to get a monthly pension of Rs. 1000 to Rs. 5000 after the age of 60 years, for which persons between 18 to 40 years are eligible.
On the Udgam portal of Reserve Bank of India, anyone can get information about their deposits older than 10 years. If the customer's complaint is not resolved in the concerned bank within 30 days, he can complain to the Reserve Bank of India online at cms.rbi.org.in and can physically visit the Reserve Bank of India's Central Grievance Redressal Cell in Chandigarh.
