Garhshankar - On the call of SKM Punjab, a large number of farmers participated in the dharna organized in front of DC office Hoshiarpur today. Kisan Committee Doaba Punjab, Kirti Kisan Union, Total Hind Kisan Sabha, Jamhoori Kisan Sabha, BKU Kadin, BKU Rajewal, Doaba Kisan Committee Doaba, Nojawan Kisan Mazdoor Committee Shaheed and CITU participated in this protest.
This protest was organized to ensure proper procurement of paddy, to stop the cuts being imposed and to ensure the supply of DAP, to cancel the 12-hour duty notification issued by the central government, to stop the contract system, to make all the employees permanent, to increase the salary.
