Derabassi, September 29:- As per the directions of SSP SAS Nagar Deepak Parik IPS, during the campaign launched against bad elements by Mohali Police, under the supervision of Dr. Jyoti Yadav IPS Captain of Police (Investigation) SAS Nagar and Talwinder Singh PPS Deputy Captain of Police (Investigation) SAS Nagar, the team of Inspector Harminder Singh Incharge CIA Staff Mohali succeeded in arresting 01 accused and recovered 01 illegal pistol .32 bore along with 02 live rounds from his possession.
Dr. Jyoti Yadav IPS Captain Police (Investigation) SAS Nagar giving more information said that on 24-09-2024 police party of CIA staff was present near bus stand, Derabsi, where CIA staff Assistant Thanedar Gurdeep Singh got the information. That Jagtar Singh alias Tara Gujjar, son of Ajaib Singh, resident of Dadpur Mohalla, near Masjid Derabsi, who has an illegal weapon, is currently waiting for one of his companions at the Punjabi Dhaba, Derabsi-Ambala road. If the said Jagtar Singh is caught through a raid, illegal arms and ammunition may be found in his possession.
Based on the information, a case No: 296 dated 24-09-2024 a/d 25-54-59 Arms Act was registered against the following accused at Derabsi police station. He was arrested from near Sahab Punjabi Dhaba Derabsi-Ambala road, 02 live rounds were fired from the accused along with a pistol .32 bore. The accused is under police remand, from which the interrogation is being done From where and for what purpose he brought this weapon.
