Hoshiarpur - Under women empowerment, 100 days awareness campaign has been started by 'Hub for Empowerment of Women' under Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, New Delhi to increase awareness and access to women focused issues. Which is being run from June 21, 2024 to October 4, 2024 across India. Under the leadership of District Program Officer Hoshiarpur Hardeep Kaur under the leadership of District Program Officer Hoshiarpur Hardeep Kaur, awareness camps were organized in circle Bajrawar, Cantonment Kalan, Attowal, Fuglana, Bassi Daulat Khan, Block Hoshiarpur-2 and Civil Hospital under this awareness campaign. Anganwadi workers and common people of Block Hoshiarpur-2 were made aware in these awareness camps.
While addressing the Anganwadi workers in the awareness camps, District Coordinator Gurwinder Singh and Special Financial Literacy Kirandeep Kaur gave detailed information about Mission Shakti, Women's Help Line No. 181, 1091, Sakhi One Stop Center, Domestic Violence Act and Women's Rights. Information about the facilities provided at the One Stop Center for Women, Hoshiarpur, such as medical assistance, free legal aid, counseling services and five-day accommodation etc. Apart from this, Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana and Compliance Scheme were also explained.
