Nawanshahr - Deputy Commissioner Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa visited the biogas plant built at Chandpur Roorkee Cowshala in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar district and reviewed the functioning of the Cowshala. Additional Deputy Commissioner (P.V.) Sagar Setia and other officials were present with him on this occasion.
   The Deputy Commissioner said that in today's time biogas plants are proving to be very helpful for domestic use and the environment remains clean with the use of these biogas plants. He said that dung and other wastes are used in biogas plant and these biogas plants can be very helpful for cowsheds and farmers. They also acquired information about the maintenance of animals at the cowshed.
