
Several proposals discussed to smoothen and regulate traffic on Patiala roads
Patiala, February 5- In a special meeting chaired by Municipal Corporation Patiala Commissioner Dr. Rajat Oberoi, new proposals were discussed to smoothen and regulate traffic on the city roads. During this, SP City Sarfaraz Alam, Regional Transport Officer Naman Markan and other officials were present.

Dr. Rajat Oberoi said that during the meeting it was considered that a proposal to ban the movement of heavy vehicles from 7 am to 8 pm to prevent congestion in the inner parts of the city and to run the traffic smoothly will be considered.
Apart from this, the proposal to close the U-turn on Bhupindra Road will also be considered. This proposal will be examined after discussing with the concerned departments about the plan to build a service lane from Environment Park on Pasi Road to the T-point of Thapar University.
Dr. Rajat Oberoi said that similarly, to solve the parking problem in the city, Nagar Sudhar Trust will be contacted for the parking of City Center and more parking spaces will be searched in the city.
Joint Commissioners Deepjot Kaur and Babandeep Singh Walia, DSP Traffic Achhroo Ram, Exian Public Works Piyush Aggarwal and Land Branch officials were also present in the meeting.
