Nawanshahr- Punjab Traders Commission Chairman Anil Thakur said here today that the Punjab government will take the issues of traders, merchants and every tax paying institution seriously and resolve them on priority basis. He also formed a 21-member committee to protect the interests of the commercial institutions of the district and resolve the issues immediately.

Having a detailed discussion with the traders, shopkeepers and merchants of the district in the presence of officials at the office of the Excise and Taxation Department in the local District Administrative Complex, Commission Chairman Anil Thakur said that the traders will not be allowed to face any kind of problem in business. He listened carefully to the issues raised by the traders of the district and said that every issue will be resolved appropriately within the stipulated time.
When the representatives of various associations raised the issue of the condition of the local railway road before the chairman, Anil Thakur and Punjab State Traders Commission member Dr. Anil Bhardwaj assured that the railway road would be renovated soon. They also visited the railway road along with the traders and traders and said that this issue would be resolved soon after discussing it with the competent authority.
For the immediate resolution of the issues of the traders of the district, they also formed a 21-member committee which would ensure the necessary solutions through better coordination from time to time. When the chairman Anil Thakur and member Anil Bhardwaj informed about the difficulties faced by small business establishments due to the opening of big malls by the district grocery association, they said that this matter would also be taken seriously and the interests of the traders would be fully protected.
They also assured to take necessary action on the issue raised by the Bhatta Association regarding labor. On this occasion, Assistant Commissioner of State Tax Niharika Kharbanda, ETOs Amit Singh and Vikram Bhatia, besides President of the Chamber of Commerce Chintu Arora, Senior Representative of the Chamber of Commerce Gursharan Arora, Rajesh Dhupar from the Grocery Association etc. were also present.
