Hoshiarpur- As per the orders of Hon'ble Commissioner Food and Drug Administration Punjab Mr. Dilraj Singh IAS and Civil Surgeon Hoshiarpur Dr. Pawan Kumar Shagotra and the guidelines of District Health Officer Dr. Jatinder Bhatia, the Food Safety Teams of the Health Department are making every effort to provide quality food to the people.
Under this, Food Safety Officer Vivek Kumar and his team checked various restaurants and beer bars in Hoshiarpur city and Food Safety Officer Abhinav Kumar checked in Mahilpur and Garhshankar and collected 8 samples of pan-masala and alcoholic beverages.
Sharing information about this, Food Safety Officers Vivek Kumar and Abhinav Kumar said that the samples of pan-masala and alcoholic beverages collected during the checking of these restaurants and beer bars have been sent for lab test and further action will be taken only after the report comes.
He said that during this time, the owners of restaurants and beer bars were asked to keep the food preparation area clean and keep the food as per FSSAI standards. They were asked to keep vegetarian and non-vegetarian food separately. They were also encouraged to always follow good hygiene rules. 
He said that strict action will be taken against those who do not take care of the quality of food and adulterate it.
