Hoshiarpur- MLA Brahm Shankar Jimpa today formally inaugurated the road construction project being built at a cost of Rs 30 lakh in Shiv Shakti Nagar located near Maharana Pratap Bhawan in Ward No. 4.
MLA Jimpa said that this road was a long-standing demand of the local people, which is now being fulfilled. He assured the people of the area that in the coming time, other incomplete development works will also be completed on priority basis.
On this occasion, MLA Brahm Shankar Jimpa warned the Municipal Corporation officials in clear words that any kind of negligence or lack of quality in the construction work will not be tolerated.
He said that the funds released by the government for public facilities should be fully utilized. He directed the contractor and the concerned department to complete the road work within the stipulated time limit, so that people can get its benefits before the rains. There was a wave of happiness among the local residents due to the start of road construction work.
Expressing gratitude to MLA Jimpa, people said that the construction of this road will provide them great relief in traffic and will also ensure the overall development of the area. Mayor Surendra Kumar, Deputy Mayor Ranjit Chaudhary, Sumesh Soni, Virendra Vaidya and other dignitaries were also present on this occasion.
