Vehicle carrying pilgrims overturns on KMP Expressway in Palwal 6 dead 16 injured

Palwal:- Six people were killed and 16 others were injured when a 22-seater 'Max' vehicle carrying pilgrims overturned on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway on Tuesday morning. The accident took place near Yadavpur village at around 4:30 am. The deceased include three men and three women.
All the pilgrims on board were residents of Mainpuri district of Uttar Pradesh. They were returning after visiting Gogamedi and Khatu Shyam temples in Rajasthan. Their itinerary also included visits to Vrindavan and Barsana.
Five people died on the spot, while a woman succumbed to her injuries during treatment. The injured were taken to the hospital, where they are currently undergoing treatment. Police suspect that the driver fell asleep and the vehicle went out of control and overturned. The driver fled the scene after the accident.
