Third Accused Arrested in 6Gram Smack Case
Karnal, May 23: Under a special campaign currently underway against drug traffickers, the CIA Asandh team of the Karnal District Police has achieved a significant breakthrough by arresting a third accused person in a case registered under the NDPS Act.
This operation was conducted under the leadership of Sub-Inspector Dalsher Singh. The police team arrested the accused—identified as Prince, son of Jai Kishan, a resident of Ward No. 1, Asandh (District Karnal)—from the District Jail, Hisar, on a production warrant. The accused was produced before the Honorable Court, and a four-day police remand has been secured.
Providing details regarding the case, the Investigating Officer stated that the police team had previously arrested two of the accused's accomplices, Johnny and Deepak. Six grams of smack were recovered from the possession of the accused, Johnny. After obtaining a two-day police remand for him, intensive interrogation was conducted, which revealed that he had procured the narcotic substance from his other accomplices.
In this connection, a case was registered at the Asandh Police Station under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act. Pursuing further action in the case, the police team arrested the accused, Prince (alias Jai Kishan), on a production warrant.
During the remand period, the accused is being subjected to intensive interrogation, and investigations are ongoing to determine the involvement of other individuals within this drug trafficking network. The Karnal District Police continues to take strict action against drug traffickers.
