Hoshiarpur:- Intensive dengue larva survey and awareness activities were conducted at various important places of Hoshiarpur to prevent the spread of dengue. The teams inspected bus stand, roadways workshop, civil hospital complex, DC residence, tehsil complex, district council, defense welfare office, government college, Lala Lajpat Rai School, Charan Kanwal Hospital, Pandit JR Polytechnic College, PSPCL office, private banks, malls, cinema halls on Sutaihari Road and Prahlad Nagar telephone exchange.
During the survey, the teams inspected the places with standing water and destroyed dengue larvae on the spot and made the staff aware about the message “No standing water, no dengue”. All departments were also assured of weekly monitoring of their offices and surrounding areas to prevent the spread of dengue.
