SIR2026 Process of disposal of claims and objections underway in Kharar Assembly constituency

Kharar (Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar), 14 September 2026:- Under the directions of Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Mrs. Komal Mittal, IAS, the process related to disposal of claims and objections under the third phase of Special Intensive Revision-2026 is in progress in Kharar Assembly constituency. Under this phase, claims and objections were submitted by the general public from 13 August 2026 to 12 September 2026.
SDM-cum-ERO Kharar Shri Gurmeet Singh said that the disposal of the received claims and objections is to be done by 8 October 2026 as per the schedule fixed by the Election Commission. He said that during this entire process, to ensure transparency and participation of political parties, necessary information is being provided to them regularly.
He said that for the information of recognized political parties for Kharar Assembly constituency, lists of the last week related to Form No. 6, 7 and 8 have been provided in Form No. 9, 10, 11 and 11-A. Apart from this, necessary information related to claims and objections is being shared by the Electoral Registration Officers by holding weekly meetings with all recognized political parties.
Shri Gurmeet Singh said that the process of SIR-2026 is being completed in a transparent manner as per prescribed rules and schedule. He said that inclusion of names of eligible voters in the voter list and fair disposal of received claims and objections as per rules is being ensured.
