Rotarys Samriddhi seminar created history more than 800 delegates participated
Ambala, 14 September:- Rotary District 3080's flagship seminar, 'Samriddhi', was organised in a grand and dignified manner on Sunday at Ambala. This event saw record attendance of more than 800 Rotarians, delegates and Rotary district officials, making it one of the most successful events of the Rotary year.
State President of Bharatiya Janata Party Dr. Archana Gupta was the chief guest at this event who linked her entire speech with BJP's one-month celebrated "Seva Sankalp Abhiyan" and discussed Rotary's projects and social service. In her address she called upon Rotary clubs to start at least one meaningful service project in their respective areas which will bring real change in lives of needy sections of society.
TRF Trustee and PRID A.S. Venkatesh addressing as keynote speaker appealed to all Rotarians to contribute maximum to Rotary Foundation (TRF). He said that individual contributions along with collective efforts through Rotary Foundation provide a powerful vehicle for worldwide service and human welfare.
On this occasion District Governor Dr. Rita Kalra honoured Paul Harris Fellows (PHF), PHF Societies, major donors and Rotary clubs for their contribution to Rotary Foundation.
Several senior and prominent Rotary officials were present at the ceremony, including PDG Jatinder Dhingra, PDG Raman Aneja (DRFC), PDG T.K. Ruby, PDG Arun Mongia, DGE M.P. Gupta, PP CA A.D. Gandhi, filmmaker Ojaswi Sharma and Rotarian Sanjay Kalra.
Deputy Governor and Programme Chairman Rotarian Naresh Bhardwaj warmly welcomed all guests and delegates. Programme was conducted efficiently by District Secretary Rotarian Deepak and DRR Purandai Gupta.
Important contribution to success of 'Samriddhi' was made by Club Secretary Dr. R.R. Suri, Project Chair Surinder Goyal, PP CA Vijay Gupta, Sandeep Chopra, Sunil Agarwal, Pawan Sethi, Ashok Bhalla and entire managing team of district and host Rotary clubs of Ambala. District Secretary Rotarian Mohit Singla, Rotarian Lalit Bajaj, Rotarian Manish Tomar, Rotarian Anup Sharma, Rotarian Anil Chauhan and AG Rohit Gupta also worked tirelessly day and night to make event successful.
Host club President Dr. Vivek Malhotra thanked all guests, delegates and organising team.
Cultural session of event was also a highlight. Students of DAV Senior Secondary School Ambala City presented a captivating Ganesh Vandana and pipe band performance. Students of Farooka Khalsa School presented a musical skit on theme "Changing Faces" and vibrant Punjabi Bhangra performance which was of professional level and was much liked and appreciated by audience.
Delegates also appreciated excellent hospitality, food and fellowship arrangements made at event. Grand event, record attendance, spirit of service and excellent arrangements truly made this Rotary 'Khushhali' seminar full and memorable in every aspect.
