Punjab University Students Council Election Won by ABVP
Chandigarh:- The BJP’s student wing ABVP has once again won the Punjab University Campus Students’ Council elections this year. ABVP candidate Ankit Bidhan won the election and became the President of the Students’ Council.
It is worth mentioning that the Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal)’s student wing SOI had also extended its support to the BJP’s student wing ABVP yesterday. Today, Ankit Bidhan’s victory and this alliance have sparked a new discussion in political circles ahead of the Punjab Assembly elections.
As soon as the election results were announced today at the PU Gymnasium Hall, a wave of happiness swept through the ABVP and Shiromani Akali Dal’s student wing SOI supporters after hearing the news of Ankit Bidhan’s victory. Ankit’s supporters lifted him onto their shoulders and celebrated the victory. Although, technically, it was only a Students’ Council election, and the organisations had been accusing each other of political interference, the political parties openly came into the picture as soon as the election results were announced today.
ABVP’s winning President Ankit expressed his anger towards the Aam Aadmi Party by breaking a ‘broom’ after his victory.
