Bomb threat on Air India flight from Saudi Arabia to Delhi

Ahmedabad:- An Air India flight from Dammam, Saudi Arabia to Delhi had to make an emergency landing at Ahmedabad airport on Monday after a bomb threat. During the flight, a crew member found a tissue paper in the plane's toilet with the word 'bomb' written on it in English. The flight was diverted to Ahmedabad and landed safely at around 4:30 pm. There were 32 passengers on board the plane. After landing, all the passengers were safely deboarded and taken to Terminal-2.
Security agencies sent the plane to an isolation area and checked the cabin, seats, cargo and passengers' belongings. Initial checks did not find any suspicious objects or explosives on the plane.
According to the police, the crew member informed the pilot immediately after finding the tissue paper. Following this, it was decided to divert the flight to Ahmedabad as per security protocols. After landing, security agencies - including CISF, bomb disposal squad, and dog squad - inspected the aircraft. Police have launched an investigation to find out who left the threatening note and why.
