OSD Sukhveer Singh Visits Eight Villages of Dhuri Constituency
Dhuri, September 14:- As part of the Punjab Government’s priority towards the overall development of villages under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Chief Minister’s OSD Sukhveer Singh today visited eight villages of Dhuri constituency. He met the residents of Ruldu Singh Wala, Mana, Mirheri, Harchandpur, Manawala, Bhaddalwadd, Palasaur and Bhalwan, reviewed the development works carried out earlier and held discussions regarding development works to be undertaken in the future.
On the occasion, OSD Sukhveer Singh said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, development works have been carried out on a large scale in the villages of Punjab, including Dhuri constituency, during the past four and a half years. He said that grants worth crores of rupees have been provided in every village for development according to the needs of the villagers and local demands.
The OSD said that the main objective of personally visiting the villages is to understand the actual requirements of development works at the grassroots level. He said that instead of preparing plans while sitting in offices, priorities can be determined by visiting villages and directly interacting with the people, which can help ensure that development works are carried out more effectively.
He said that the views of the villagers would be given priority and plans for development works would be prepared according to their needs. He assured the villagers that genuine demands would be considered on priority and development works would be taken forward on a war footing.
The villagers welcomed the initiative of OSD Sukhveer Singh to visit the villages, directly interact with the people and seek their views regarding development works.
On the occasion, ADC Sukhchain Singh, District Council Chairman Rachhpal Singh Bhullar, Amardeep Singh Dhandra, members of the village panchayat and a large number of villagers were present.
