OSD Sukhveer Singh Inaugurates Free Eye Checkup Camp at Kanjhla Village

Dhuri, September 14:- Under the initiative of the Punjab Government, a special free eye check-up camp was organized today at Gurdwara Jhirra Sahib in Kanjhla village. The camp was inaugurated by Sukhveer Singh, OSD to Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. Organized with the objective of “Healthy Eyes, Prosperous Punjab,” the camp provided eye examinations to people by a team of specialist doctors with the special support of Shankara Eye Hospital, Ludhiana.
On the occasion, OSD Sukhveer Singh said that ensuring quality healthcare facilities reach every citizen is a priority for creating a healthy Punjab. He said such camps are being organized continuously to provide people with free check-ups and treatment facilities near their homes. He said that timely eye examinations can help prevent several serious problems.
During the camp, free eye examinations, spectacles for needy people, medicines and examination facilities by specialist doctors were provided completely free of cost. In addition, patients found to require eye surgery will also be provided surgery as per their needs.
On the occasion, Chairman of Block Samiti Dhuri, Ranyodh Singh, said that special attention to eye health is essential for creating a healthy society. He said such health camps play an important role in providing quality healthcare facilities to people near their homes.
He appealed to the residents of the area to make maximum use of the camp and get their eyes examined on time. He said that keeping people healthy is a collective responsibility for creating a healthy Punjab and a vibrant Punjab.
On the occasion, ADC Sukhchain Singh, District Council member Harjinder Singh Kanjhla, along with a large number of villagers, were present.
