Officials to ensure immediate resolution of public problems Krishan Kumar Bedi
Chandigarh, May 23:- Haryana Social Justice, Empowerment, Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Welfare Minister Shri Krishan Kumar Bedi said that timely resolution of the problems of the common people is among the top priorities of the government. Officials should take the complaints of the citizens seriously and ensure their resolution with sensitivity and accountability so that the people do not have to face unnecessary troubles.
Shri Krishan Kumar Bedi was presiding over the meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee held at Fatehabad on Saturday. A total of 12 cases related to various departments were heard in the meeting. During this, the Minister took the progress report of the cases from the concerned officials and directed for early resolution of the pending cases.
During the meeting, Minister Krishan Kumar Bedi clearly said that the presence of the persons who have filed complaints in the Public Grievance Committee is necessary. The complainant himself should be present and state whether he is satisfied with the departmental action or not. This will help in fair and transparent disposal of the cases.
Instructions to maintain drinking water system during summer season
While hearing a case, Krishan Kumar Bedi directed the officials of the Public Health Engineering Department to keep the drinking water supply system in the district smooth in view of the increasing heat and not allow water problem to arise in any village or area. On another complaint, the residents of village Peelimandauri raised the problem of drinking water, the Minister directed the officials to ensure regular and adequate supply of clean drinking water in the village. Departmental officials said that a project worth Rs 6.72 crore has been approved to improve the drinking water system in the village and the work will start soon after the tender process is completed.
On the complaint of road construction against the rules in an illegal colony in Ratia area, DMC to inspect the spot and submit a detailed report of the construction work in the next meeting. Hearing the complaint filed by Babita, a resident of village Gajuwala, the Minister directed the Police Department to conduct a fair and thorough investigation into the complaints of both the parties. He said that legal action should be taken against whoever is found guilty in the investigation so that the people maintain faith in law and order.
Hearing the complaint of Rakesh Kumar, a resident of village Banmandauri, the Minister directed the Education Department that no school should run in the district without recognition. On this, the DEEO said that action has been taken against the concerned school and it has been closed. On the complainant expressing dissatisfaction, the Minister directed the Department to conduct a re-investigation and submit a report based on facts.
Make water and energy conservation a habit
Sri Bedi appealed to the citizens to conserve water and energy and said that saving water and electricity is the main need of the present time. Every citizen should use water and electricity only as needed so that natural resources can be conserved for future generations.
