Hoshiarpur:- MLA Brahm Shankar Jimpa inaugurated the street lights from Bhagwan Mahavir Setu to Haryana Road (Municipal Limit) on Saturday evening. On this occasion, he said that the Municipal Corporation is continuously working for the development and beautification of the city and under this link, 96 new street lights have been installed on this route at a cost of Rs. 40 lakh.
Brahm Shankar Jimpa said that the Municipal Corporation has spent more than Rs. 10 crore on street lights in the city during its current tenure. He said that the areas where there was darkness earlier, now light has reached there and the effort to completely illuminate all the municipal limits of the city has been successful.
He said that no deficiency will be left in the beautification of the city and the development work will continue in the coming time as well. He said that with better lighting, where people will get convenience, the security system will also be strengthened. It is the government's initiative to provide a modern and convenient environment to the city dwellers.
