Karnal Police Strikes Hard Against Drug Peddlers Three Smugglers Arrested

Karnal, July 14:- As part of the ongoing campaign against drug smugglers, the Karnal District Police has taken strict action and arrested three accused individuals in three separate cases under the NDPS Act. The police recovered a total of 4 kg 325 grams of poppy husk, 405 grams of opium, and 11 grams of smack (heroin) from the possession of the accused. In one of the cases, the motorcycle used in the commission of the crime was also seized by the police.

**First Case:**
Acting on a tip-off, a CIA-1 team led by Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Rohit Kumar arrested Rajpal Singh, son of Joginder Singh, a resident of village Jhansran, District Rupnagar (Ropar), Punjab. A search of the accused led to the recovery of 4 kg 325 grams of poppy husk.

**Second Case:**
Acting on credible information, a CIA-2 team led by ASI Kuldeep Singh arrested Madanlal, son of Jaipal, a resident of village Sherganj, District Badaun, Uttar Pradesh. During the search, 405 grams of opium were recovered from his possession.

**Third Case:**
Acting on credible information, the Anti-Narcotics Cell team, led by In-charge Sub-Inspector Himmat Singh, arrested Vikas, son of Sudesh Kumar, a resident of Ward No. 1, Shiv Colony, Gharaunda, District Karnal. 11 grams of smack and the motorcycle used in the crime were recovered from his possession.
Cases under the NDPS Act have been registered against the accused by the respective police stations in all three instances. 
The arrested individuals will be produced before the honorable court to seek police remand. During the remand period, the accused will undergo intensive interrogation to identify other individuals linked to the drug smuggling network and to fully uncover the details of the cases.
