India Beat Malaysia 31 to Enter AHF mens Junior Asia Cup Final
Mokki/China:- The Indian junior men's hockey team defeated Malaysia 3-1 in the first semifinal on Friday to enter the final of the AHF Junior Asia Cup 2026. Defending champions India are now just one step away from winning their fourth consecutive and sixth overall title.
Captain and drag-flicker Anmol Ekka delivered a brilliant performance, scoring two goals through penalty corners, taking his tournament tally to 16 goals. Sukhwinder scored another goal to strengthen India's lead. Goalkeeper and ‘Player of the Match’ Vivek Lakra made several excellent saves, including a crucial penalty stroke save.
After the first quarter ended goalless, India opened the scoring through a penalty corner in the 16th minute. Malaysia scored its first and only goal through a penalty corner in the final moments of the match, but by then India had established a strong position in the game. In the final, India will face the winner of the second semifinal between Pakistan and South Korea.
