Haroli being developed as a sports hub Mukesh Agnihotri

Una, September 12:- Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri presided over the closing ceremony of the Under-19 Boys District-Level Minor Games competition at Government Excellence Senior Secondary School, Haroli. He felicitated the winning teams and encouraged the players to continue excelling in sports in the future. He said that the Haroli Assembly constituency is being developed as a sports hub and continuous efforts are being made to provide modern sports facilities to the youth.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that Government Excellence Senior Secondary School, Haroli, has been selected as a CBSE and day-boarding school. A grand and modern school building will be constructed here in the coming time, which will provide students with a better academic environment and facilities. He said that special attention is being given to strengthening the educational infrastructure in the Haroli area.
He said that construction work on the second building of Government College Haroli would also begin soon. The building, to be constructed at a cost of around Rs. 8 crore, will expand the facilities available to students at the college.
Mukesh Agnihotri said that a synthetic track is being constructed in Haroli to promote sporting talent and indoor stadiums are also being built. He said that the government aims to provide the youth of the area with modern sports facilities close to their homes so that they can showcase their talent at the national and international levels.
He said that renowned Punjabi singer Gurdas Maan will visit the students at Haroli College on September 29. He said that such programmes play an important role in connecting students with cultural activities and helping them hone their talent.
On the occasion, the school students presented a colourful cultural programme. Appreciating the energy and enthusiasm of the students, the Deputy Chief Minister announced sanction of Rs. 31,000 for the cultural programme.
