Chandigarh- A program titled "Rumi Meet Kabir" was held today at the Randhawa Auditorium, Punjab Kala Bhawan, Sector-16, Chandigarh, dedicated to the great scholar Prof. Malwinder Jeet Singh Waraich. The event featured special performances by Ashwin Afra, a national award-winning actor from the Marathi film "Shwaas," and Savani Shikare, a classically trained singer, who created a spiritual atmosphere by blending the poetic words of two eternal mystics. During the session, stories of Kabir Ji were narrated, and the spiritual meaning of attaining the Divine was explained. 
This mystical blend of Dastangoi (storytelling) and music gave the audience an inner realization of the blissful union with God. Information was provided on Atam Ram (the soul) and Atam Ras (the essence of the soul) and how they prove helpful for our spirit. Information regarding the Angel of Death, Izrael, was also shared, explaining how he takes us to the Dharam Raj (the Lord of Justice) at the time of death.
At the end of the program, the new book "Salahiyat," authored by Principal Bahadur Singh Gosal, President of the Vishwa Punjabi Prachar Sabha, Chandigarh, was released by the two artists, Ashwin Afra and Savani Shikare. Present on the occasion were writers and dignitaries including Baljinder Kaur Shergill, Avtar Singh Mehtapuri, Jagtar Singh Jog, Raj Kumar Sahowaliya, Dr. Ravinder Singh Lubana, Dr. Panna Lal Mustafabadi, Balwinder Singh, Piara Singh Rahi, Krishna Goyal, Tarlochan Singh, Rajinder Singh Dhiman, Teja Singh Thua, Amarjit Singh Bathlana, Jaswinder Singh Kainaur, Ramesh Chanolia, Mandar Gill, and Charanjit Kaur Bath.
The event was attended by a large number of prominent intellectuals, litterateurs, art lovers, and authors from the city. Members of the Vishwa Punjabi Prachar Sabha, Chandigarh, praised the book "Salahiyat" and congratulated the editor, Principal Bahadur Singh Gosal. On this occasion, books were also distributed with honor to the writers featured in the publication. 
Principal Bahadur Singh Gosal congratulated Chairman Dr. Sunil Bhatia for this unique and successful event, noting that the Vishwa Punjabi Prachar Sabha, Chandigarh, had played a supporting role, and assured continued cooperation in the future.
