Garhshankar, July 8:- Admissions are currently underway for various established and new courses for the 2026-27 session at Sri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College, Mahilpur. A great deal of enthusiasm is being observed among students in the region regarding these admissions. Speaking on the matter, College Principal Dr. Parvinder Singh stated that a special admission and counseling cell is operational in the college, and students are also securing admissions in their preferred courses by visiting the admission centers established in nearby villages.
He mentioned that under the Post-Matric Scholarship scheme, only the university fee is being charged to eligible SC and ST students. Additionally, various other scholarship schemes are being successfully implemented by the institution, benefiting meritorious students from different sections of society. 
He highlighted that new skill-based and employment-oriented courses, including B.Sc. (Cyber Security) and B.Sc. (Artificial Intelligence), have been introduced, enabling students to become eligible for good employment opportunities during their studies.
On this occasion, staff members briefed the incoming students about the career prospects in various courses. The Principal urged students to visit the college and consult with expert faculty to secure their seats. He also advised students aspiring to migrate abroad to at least complete their graduation through regular employment-oriented courses, as this significantly improves their career prospects.
