Discussing about the development in Haroli assembly constituency during the last two decades, Mukesh Agnihotri said that when he got the opportunity to serve the people of Haroli assembly constituency two decades ago, at that time this area was very backward in terms of development. He told that while two decades ago there were only four senior secondary schools in Haroli assembly constituency, today 33 senior secondary schools, two industrial training institutes, one Kendriya Vidyalaya and three colleges are raising the flame of education in the area. He said that due to the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) established at a cost of Rs 150 crore in village Saloh of Haroli assembly constituency, this area has got special recognition in the country and the world. He said that the new building of Industrial Training Institute Pandoga in Haroli assembly constituency is almost ready for which Rs 1 crore 30 lakh has been released recently and it will be inaugurated soon. He said that Himcaps Law and Nursing College, Badhera, established in the cooperative area, also has a special place in Una district as well as in the entire state, from where the children studying law and nursing are bringing glory to the region in the country and the world. . He said that on one hand, most of the people of the previous generation were uneducated or very less educated, whereas at present the young men and women of this area are bringing glory to the area by becoming doctors, engineers, judges, lawyers and nursing officers.
Mukesh Agnihotri said that at present about Rs 150 crore is being spent on road projects and Rs 150 crore on drinking water and irrigation projects in Haroli assembly constituency. Apart from this, the work of shifting electric poles is being done at a cost of Rs 11 crore. He informed that indoor stadium is being constructed in Government College Khad at a cost of Rs 14 crore. A big bridge is being constructed on Swan river between Pandoga and Tyuri at a cost of Rs 51 crore and another bridge is also being constructed near Haroli College at a cost of Rs 7 crore. He said that during his current tenure, irrigation facility will be provided in every farm of Haroli assembly constituency, for which irrigation projects are being implemented on a large scale. In this series, 15 tube wells are being constructed in Beet area at a cost of Rs 32 crore. 7 big water storage tanks are being constructed in the area. Apart from this, the largest water storage tank of Himachal Pradesh is also being built in Amrali.
Giving a strong message about a drug-free society, the Deputy Chief Minister said that as soon as the present government came to power, strict action has been taken against drugs, due to which many criminals related to drug trafficking are in jail today. He said that no person associated with drug trafficking will be spared, no matter how big he is or what ideology he belongs to. He said that liquor vends established near educational institutions would be shifted elsewhere so that the young generation could be protected from the possible ill effects of drugs. He called upon the students present to take a pledge to never take drugs in their life and inspire others to live a drug-free life.
The Deputy Chief Minister assured that the local school administration will fulfill all the demands related to the school. He announced to give Rs 25 thousand from his discretionary fund to the local school for cultural program.
330 students from 55 different schools of education block Haroli participated in the two-day 31st block level Children Science Congress.
