Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, April 21: Mrs. Komal Mittal, District Magistrate, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, in exercise of the powers vested in her under Section 163, Chapter 11 of the Indian Civil Protection Code, 2023 (46 of 2023), has issued orders prohibiting any kind of demonstration, raising slogans, gathering of five or more people in the district.
Giving more information in this regard, Mrs. Komal Mittal said that sometimes political organizations, unions etc. hold protests etc. regarding their demands, due to which there is a fear of deterioration of the law and order situation and there can be damage to the lives and property of the general public and public property. Therefore, a ban has been imposed on the gathering of five or more people, any kind of demonstration, raising slogans in the district so that the law and order situation can be maintained.
She said that this order will not be applicable to para-military forces, military forces, officers posted on government duty, employees, marriages, religious ceremonies, government functions and funerals of the deceased. This order will be applicable with immediate effect in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar district from 11-04-2025 to 10-06-2025.
