Nawanshahr- District Magistrate Ankurjit Singh has issued orders to ban grazing of cattle on roadsides in cities/towns in the district under the Indian Civil Protection Code. 
According to the orders issued by the District Magistrate, people are leaving buffaloes and cows on the sides of cities, towns and roads for fodder, which causes damage to people's crops and plants growing on the sides of the roads. 
The District Magistrate said that in such a situation, disputes arise between farmers and cattle keepers and sometimes there is a fear of accidents due to cattle, which is very important to prevent. These orders will be in force till August 23, 2025.
