Red Cross General Secretary Mahesh Joshi's visit to Hisar, appreciated service and public awareness programs.

Haryana/Hisar: General Secretary of Indian Red Cross Society, Haryana State Branch Chandigarh, Mahesh Joshi visited District Branch Hisar on Saturday. On his arrival, a blood donation camp and awareness rally was organized in the Red Cross Bhawan to mark the 300th birth anniversary of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar, a symbol of service and justice.

Haryana/Hisar: General Secretary of Indian Red Cross Society, Haryana State Branch Chandigarh, Mahesh Joshi visited District Branch Hisar on Saturday. On his arrival, a blood donation camp and awareness rally was organized in the Red Cross Bhawan to mark the 300th birth anniversary of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar, a symbol of service and justice.
Its objective was to make the general public aware about de-addiction, environmental cleanliness and road safety. The program was inaugurated by Mahesh Joshi and tribute was paid to Red Cross founder Henry Dunant by offering floral tribute.
In the program, Secretary of Red Cross Hisar, Ravindra Kumar welcomed the chief guest and highlighted the activities of the organization. Thereafter, Mahesh Joshi inspected the blood donation camp and distributed certificates to the blood donors. In this camp, 36 voluntary blood donors donated blood, which was managed by the blood bank team of General Hospital Hisar.
Apart from this, assistive devices and wheelchairs were distributed to 7 Divyangjans during the program. Chief guest Mahesh Joshi was presented a memento by Red Cross Secretary Ravindra Kumar. After this, Mahesh Joshi inspected various welfare projects run by Red Cross such as Anchal Mental Development Center, Early Intervention Program, Institute for the Visually Handicapped, Ortho and Physiotherapy Center, Protection House, Computer Center and TI Project.
During the inspection, Mahesh Joshi distributed certificates to the students of RICT Computer Center and gave the message of environmental protection by planting trees in the Red Cross campus. Appreciating the social work being done by the district branch, he held a meeting with the employees, listened to their problems and wished them a bright future.
On this occasion, Red Cross Secretary Ravindra Kumar, Accountant Rahul Sharma, District Training Officer Vinod Kumari, Physiotherapist Mangeram, Rakesh Sharma, Vinesh Nagpal, Shri Ramniwas Sharma (stage operator) along with all the members of TI Project and Red Cross staff were present.
