He said that the martyrdom of the fifth Guru of Sikhs, Shri Guru Arjan Dev Ji, was a revolutionary turning point in the religious history of the world. While this martyrdom gave the greatest challenge to the tendency of human atrocities in the name of religious fanaticism, it also freed humanity from the fear of facing oppression.
The martyrdom of the fifth Patshah is recorded as a revolutionary page in Sikh history, whose inspiration is a guide for every Sikh even today.
This martyrdom of Guru Sahib showed the Sikhs the way to face oppression, accept the will of the Immortal God and defend their rights with patience, contentment and determination, making the foundation of the palace of Sikhism so firm and strong that even the storm of oppression could not destroy it.
The martyrdom of Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji is unique and unparalleled in Sikh history. He explained with reference to Gurbani that we all should follow the orders given by Guru Sahib. We should always remember the martyrdom of our Gurus, which teaches us to always fight against oppression.
We should read the message given in Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and adopt it in our life, so that we will stay away from social evils and the evils found in the society will also end.
