A total of 29 teachers, including the school principal, participated in this workshop. Hoshiarpur- Indian Red Cross Society, Hoshiarpur successfully organized a three-day first aid workshop at Dashmesh Nursery School, Chak Allah Bakhsh Mukerian. A total of 29 teachers, including the school principal, participated in this workshop. The workshop was conducted by Sanjeevan Singh Dadwal, First Aid Training Supervisor, Red Cross Society, Hoshiarpur.
In this, the participants were trained in life-saving skills techniques and effective response in medical emergencies, role of Red Cross, basic principles of first aid, fracture management, bandaging methods, prevention and treatment of burns, rescue and first aid in case of drowning, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, respiratory arrest, shock and coma, head injury, balanced diet and nutrition, cleanliness and hygiene. The main objective of this workshop is to empower the teachers in the first aid necessary to save the life of the patient before getting medical help in critical situations.
Secretary of Red Cross Society Hoshiarpur Mangesh Sood said that on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain, emphasis is being laid on conducting such training sessions in schools, colleges and industrial institutions. He said that first aid training is also a statutory requirement under the Factories Act and all industries should come forward to equip their staff with these techniques so that risks can be reduced and lives can be saved in case of an accident.
Mangesh Sood said that the purpose of such training sessions is to equip students, teachers and the general public with the necessary first aid techniques in daily life, so that lives can be saved in any critical situation.
