Garhshankar- The Joint Front of Public Organizations of Garhshankar celebrated May Day at Darshan Singh Canadian Hall under the leadership of Makhan Singh Wahidpuri, Kulbhushan Kumar, Lak Saroop Chand, Amreek Singh and Sharmila Rani. Amidst the echo of sky-shattering slogans, the ceremony of hoisting the red flag was performed by senior leader Ravi Kumar Bhatt. At this time, the speakers shed light on the history of May Day and paid warm tributes to the martyrs of May Day. The speakers said that the facilities that the working class got due to the sacrifices of the martyrs, today the capitalist system is again taking away those facilities. They have repealed the labor laws and implemented black anti-labor laws. In the private sector, workers and employees are being forced to work for 15 hours each for meager salaries. The governments are expanding the private sector by abolishing the public sector and giving the private sector full freedom to exploit the working class. The working class can protect its rights only through its organizational unity. Today, the demand of the hour is that a large unity of the working people should be built so that the attack being made on the working people by the capitalism can be defeated. Today's gathering, while paying tribute to the martyrs of Pahalgam, demanded strictest punishment to the elements responsible for this incident. Along with this, the attempt to create an atmosphere of hatred in the country by the communal forces on the pretext of this incident was strongly condemned and the people were appealed to strengthen their communal unity. At this time, Sham Sundar Kapoor, Master Raj Kumar, Jeet Bagwai, Lake Saroop Chand, Principal Bikkar Singh, Principal Jagdish Rai, Ranjit Posi, Shingara Ram Bhajjal, Giani Avtar Singh, Sharmila Rani, Jaswinder Kaur, Manjit Kaur, Nirmala, Gurnam Hajipur, Harmesh Kumar, Raman Singh, Vinod Kumar, Jagdish Pakhowal, Pawan Kumar, Gopi Ram, Joginder Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Gurneet Kumar, Jaswinder Singh and Gurdeep Bedi also expressed their views.
