SAS Nagar, Jan 23 - MLA of Mohali constituency Kulwant Singh assured a delegation of various resident welfare associations, religious institutions, and prominent personalities of Phase 11 regarding the garbage processing plant operating near village Kambala-Kambali, near Phase 11, that he will soon talk to the officials of the concerned department and find a permanent solution to it.
The delegation that met the MLA included Councillor Kulwant Singh Clare, Pramod Mittal, President Laxmi Narayan Mandir, Mohali; Amarjit Singh, President Friends Sports and Social Welfare Society; Bakshish Singh, President Resident Welfare Association (East), Phase 11, Mohali; Gurmej Singh Mojowala, President Bhagat Puran Singh Environment Society; R.S. Dhillon; Dr. Maninder Kaur, President Resident Welfare Association HIG House, Phase 11, Mohali, and several residents of Phase 11.
He assured the delegation that he would not allow the health of the people of Mohali to be compromised under any circumstances.
Meanwhile, a delegation of Phase 11 residents also met Municipal Corporation Mayor Amarjit Singh Jeeti Sidhu and submitted a memorandum demanding shifting of the garbage plant from there to another place.
