Hoshiarpur - Under the digital survey of crops in the district, the teams of the Revenue Department have started the work of visiting agricultural land and registering the actual crop photos online through Khasra number, which is going on at war footing in various sub-divisions. Giving information in this regard, Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain said that by registering Khasra-Girdawari and crop photos online, modern technology will be added to the traditional Khasra-Girdawari.

Giving information in this regard, Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain said that by registering Khasra-Girdawari and crop photos online, modern technology will be added to the traditional Khasra-Girdawari.
She said that for the digital survey of crops, Patwaris have been equipped with smartphone-based 'Digital Crop Survey App', through which they will be able to go to the fields, enter the relevant Khasra number and take photos of the actual crop and register them online. This will not only stop misleading or fake reporting but farmers will also be able to get the right benefits of government schemes and compensation on the basis of real data. The Deputy Commissioner said that this work is going on at war footing in the district.
He said that in view of the limited number of Patwaris, the help of officers and employees of Canal Department, Agriculture Department, Land Conservation Department is also being taken so that this work can be completed by April 17. Ashika Jain said that 12th pass youth can also be included in this work, for which they will also be given remuneration.
It is noteworthy that interested youth can become a part of this work by contacting their respective tehsil. He said that digital crop survey will not only bring improvement and transparency in the administrative process but farmers will also be able to get government benefits and compensation on time, which will also improve their economic condition.
