There will be a ban on bringing firearms to Maidi fair except security personnel: Jatin Lal

Una, March 7: Deputy Commissioner Una Jatin Lal said that lakhs of devotees come to Maidi in subdivision Amb during the Dera Baba Badbhaag Singh Holi fair to be held from 7 to 17 March. During this time, orders have been issued in district Una under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Security Code (BNSS) to maintain the safety, health and law and order of the devotees. According to the orders, there will be a complete ban on carrying firearms by any person except the security personnel deployed on duty during the fair period.

Jatin Lal said that to prevent noise pollution during the fair, there will be a complete ban on the use of loudspeakers by any person other than the district administration, management Dera Baba Badbhaag Singh, Manji Sahib and Charan Ganga. Apart from this, there will be a complete ban on bringing brass bands, drums, long tongs and other noisy equipment etc. in the fair area. If any person brings these items with him, he will have to deposit them with the police at the barrier itself.
The management committee of Baba Badbag Singh will make arrangements for the devotees to go out from the door opening towards Manji Sahib and the devotees returning from the langar will go out from the back door so that there is no cross movement of devotees.
The District Magistrate said that the entry of devotees from the side of Sarai Langar Bhawan of Manji Sahib will be closed, while going to Sarai will be allowed through the entrance near the Gurudwara. Apart from this, Charan Ganga management will ensure that people move in the same direction, so that there is no cross movement of devotees.
