Sahitya Vigyan Kendra Chandigarh organized its monthly meeting.

Chandigarh- Sahitya Vigyan Kendra Chandigarh organized Kavi Darbar at Punjab Kala Bhawan Sector 16 Chandigarh, which was presided over by Dr. Mehar Manak Ji (Professor at Rait-Bahra University and renowned poet) and Mr. Gurvinder Singh Johal Ji (PCS Officer and renowned poet) attended as the Chief Guest. First of all, two minutes silence was observed to mourn the untimely demise of the brother of Simarjit Kaur Grewal, a dedicated member of the Center and a tourist who died during the attack in Pahalgam.

In Tarannum, Darshan Tiuna, Balwinder Dhillon, Labh Singh Lehli, Gurdas Das, Malkit Basra, Charanjit Kaler, Pratap Paras and Davinder Kaur Dhillon shared their compositions with the audience. Pal Ajnabi, Narinder Kaur Longia, Darshan Singh Sidhu, Rajinder Kaur Sarao, Ashwani Kumar, Surinder Gill, Rajinder Dhiman, Manjit Kaur Mohali, Ratan Babak Wala etc. marked their presence with very beautiful compositions.
Gurmel Singh Maujowal ji expressed his concern about the Punjabi language and said that we all should work together for the promotion of the Punjabi language. S. Gurwinder Singh Johal ji, who attended today's program as the chief guest, said that I have not come to preside but as a colleague.
He made the atmosphere poetic by reciting a very beautiful ghazal "Chand, Suraj, Chirag, Kaun Hain Tej Dimag Wale. Log, Bagh Kyon Bagh Hain, Jab Bagh Dil Se Ujd Jaate Hain". Dr. Maher Manak, who was presiding, expressed his gratitude to all the members of Sahitya Vigyan Kendra and shared his very beautiful composition "Jahan Bheed Hoti Hai, Wahan Main Nahi Hota" with the audience. Davinder Kaur Dhillon conducted the stage very well.
