SSP Sandeep Kumar Malik, who reached Manguwal police post established on the border of Himachal Pradesh in the morning, while taking stock of the checking, said that the objective of this campaign is to identify and arrest the accused involved in any kind of drug smuggling, illegal activities and crimes by entering other states.
He said that the district police will take strict action against drug smugglers and the properties built by them with drug money will be confiscated. He informed that till now the district police has frozen such properties worth more than Rs 25 crore. SSP Sandeep Kumar Malik said that yesterday the competent officer has received orders to freeze the properties of more than Rs 38 lakh of Satpal, a resident of Garhdiwala, who is trapped in NDPS cases, on which further action is being taken.
The District Police Chief said that so far in the year 2025, 80 cases have been registered and 102 people have been arrested and a large amount of narcotics has been recovered from them. He gave a clear warning to drug smugglers and people involved in the drug trade that they will be dealt with strictly and no mercy will be shown at any cost.
