Nawanshahr: The role of ITI graduates is very important for industrial development and in the coming time, industries will start recruiting them in the institutions themselves. This was said by Mr. Lalit Mohan Pathak (Ballu), Vice Chairman, Technical Education Board Punjab, while addressing an awareness seminar on blood donation at the local ITI.
He said that they should be given written details about the needs of the institution so that they can be fulfilled on priority basis because Sardar Bhagwant Singh Mann government is paying full attention to industrial training. He appreciated the efforts made to provide information about blood donation. Earlier, Omkar Singh Sheenmar welcomed the chief guest, special guests and guest personalities and expressed his emotional views about his commitment to the institution.
He informed the chief guest about the needs of the institution. Training Officer Rajinder Kumar performed the responsibility of Stage Secretary well. BDC Secretary JS Gidda shared technical information about blood donation. He said that there are four main groups of blood groups which were discovered by Austrian scientist Karl Landsteiner in 1901. Which were named A, B, O and AB. There are also negative groups of these four groups which are found in only one percent.
There is no substitute for human blood. To save the life that is dying due to lack of blood, only a healthy person has to come forward. But before donating blood, doctors see that the donor's age is between 18 and 65 years, body weight is not less than 45 kg, blood volume i.e. Hb is not less than 12.5 grams percent, there is no chronic disease, it has been three months since the previous blood donation, etc. Apart from this, some necessary information can also be taken.
In this way, blood can be donated only with medical approval and human lives can be saved. With the necessary tests of the donated blood, the blood donor also gets to know about his tests. On this occasion, the Principal and staff honored the chief guest Lalit Mohan Pathak Ballu with a memento. Principal Omkar Singh Sheenmar was honored by Lalit Mohan Pathak on behalf of BDC.
