But the Punjab government has not made any progress on our demands so far, due to which an outline of the struggles to be waged against Punjab was prepared, in which first of all the organizations will organize rallies and mobilize their entire employees. After that, a Punjab-level rally will be held in front of the CM's house or the house of the Finance Minister. He further said that since the Punjab government came to power, it has been repeatedly breaking promises and playing with the employees by swearing at them.
Due to which, the municipal workers of Punjab have started this struggle. Giving information about the demands, he said that first of all, the outsourced employees of grade-3 and grade-4 like clerk, data entry computer operator, pump operator, driver, electrician, gardener, beldar, sevadar, chowkidar, safai sewak, sewerman and fire brigade across our Punjab should be insourced and the insoured employees should be regularized. Their salary should be increased to at least Rs. 26000. The old pension should be implemented on all municipal employees of Punjab recruited after 01-01-2004.
The employees from whom the pension option has been taken till 31-12-2011 should complete the process and get pension and on the basis of the notification issued on 23-07-2021, the outsourced sanitation workers and sanitation workers who were left pending in the contract base recruitment of sanitation workers and sanitation workers in Punjab should be inducted.
The municipal corporations, municipal councils and municipal panchayats whose contract base recruitment of sanitation workers and sanitation workers is in the middle should complete the process and induct them immediately if the government does not fulfill the demands soon, then in the coming time, the Municipal Employees Action Committee Punjab will intensify these struggles even more and will be forced to wage even bigger struggles, for which the entire responsibility will be with the Punjab government.
