*Preparations for the Great Kirtan Durbar begin on a large scale.*
Nawanshahr - Preparations for the Mahan Kirtan Durbar being organized by the Guru Nanak Mission Seva Society like every year are going on at war level and the work of setting up the pandal has also started. After the completion of the Gurmat events organized by the society from September 14 to October 15 in different villages and cities, public relations campaign is being conducted at Nawanshahr for the last several days in which all the members are organizing events in different markets and neighborhoods of the city.

Invitations are being distributed. Along with this, preparations have started for different services at the ground of Khalsa School. This time around three acres of land has been prepared for parking and its entry has also been given from a separate side. Similarly, ample open space has been arranged for langar and couples. Only Kirtan Durbar related pandals are being set up in the ground. Giving this information, Surjit Singh, the chief servant of the society, said that the work of installing pandal and lights has started and therefore different teams are inspecting the ongoing works.
He said that the kirtan darbar will begin on November 4 at 04:30 pm with the transportation of Sahib Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji to the pandal in the form of saroop nagar kirtan from Gurdwara Guru Angad Nagar. After the recitation of Rahras Sahib, Darbar Sahib's Ragi Bhai Ukar Singh, Gurudwara Bangla Sahib's head granthi Giani Ranjit Singh, panth's famous kirtani Bhai Chamanjit Singh ji Lal will entertain the congregation with Gurbani kirtan and Gurmat thoughts. Jathedar Singh Sahib Giani Raghveer Singh Ji of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Ji will release the souvenir prepared by the society and he will also address the congregation.
On this occasion, the main guardian of the society, Giani Sarabjit Ji, Jathedar Mahinder Singh Hussainpur, Jathedar Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa S: Barjinder Singh Hussainpur and other cult personalities will also be present.
He said that special arrangements have been made for buses and tractor trolleys on a large scale for the coming and going of pilgrims from all over the area. On this occasion, Didar Singh Gahun, Inderjit Singh Bahara, Jagdeep Singh Cashier, Parminder Singh Kanwal and Kuljit Singh Khalsa were also present with him.
