Addressing the stakeholders on this occasion, District Child Protection Officer Dr. Harpreet Kaur said that it is very important for children to have information about child rights in the present time. Because issues related to children are very sensitive and on this occasion various laws have been made by the Government of India for the protection and care of orphans, helpless, neglected children, victims of crime, missing children under the age of 18 years. are Such as information about Juvenile Justice Act, POCSO Act, Child Marriage Prevention Act, Free Legal Aid etc. He said that such needy children can get proper help by approaching the police station, child helpline and directly in their office. On this occasion, Legal-cum Probation Officer Sukhjinder Singh gave information about Adoption Guide Lions Good Touch- Bad Touch and various schemes being run by the department for the welfare of children like sponsorship fund, legal adoption etc.
Aarti Sharma from Sakhi One Stop Centre, Hoshiarpur gave detailed information on Domestic Violence Act and Women's Rights. The facilities provided in One Stop Center for Women Hoshiarpur like medical assistance, free legal aid, counseling services and five days accommodation etc. were given information. Advocate District Legal Services Authority Sandeep Kumar explained in detail about India's judicial system. He said that children and women can get free legal services to protect their rights. Principal Middle Level Training Center Hoshiarpur Seema Sharma spoke about the importance of nutrition and balanced diet. He explained the treatment of anemia in children and women with the use of proper diet.
